No, it is not required. We will provide linens that include: a towel, sheet, blanket, and pillow. However, you are more than welcome if you would like additional linens. 

Yes. All of the rooms in the buildings have air conditioning.

Yes. Laundry is available in the dorm for free. Students will need their own laundry detergent. 

The on-campus dining hall is within walking distance from dorms, and most meals will be eaten on campus, allowing you to interact with your fellow students and get a taste of college life. We can accommodate special diets such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, halal, or specific food allergies.

Yes. There is free high-speed wireless internet throughout campus.

All rooms are double occupancy only. Triples and quads are not options.

Yes.  All students will be paired with other students of their age and gender and share a suite, with shared bathroom and lounge. If students plan on attending the program with a friend, we will be able to place the students in the same room with a written notice before the program start date.

Currently, Barnard College has not assigned 2024 students to a specific building. As it gets closer we will update you. 

Students will experience the beauty of the Pacific Northwest by spending a lot of time outside during their excursions. Students will explore Seattle through a city tour including an underground tour, browse and shop at Pike Place Market, the Seattle Space Needle, see the first Starbucks, a ferry tour, and more. 

No, linens are provided. The linen pack includes 1 pillow, 1 pillowcase, 1 blanket, 1 flat sheet, 1 fitted sheet, 2 towels, 1 washcloth, soap, bed pad, and a comforter/fleece blanket. Students may pack their own bedding or towels if they have specific preferences or favorite items from home that would make them more comfortable.
