Learn basics from the history of money to cryptoeconomics, tokens, and blockchain.

Program Highlights

Understand basic Cryptoeconomics: Be able to design cryptoeconomic models, and use existing cryptoeconomic models.
Understand the potential of crypto tokens when used with well designed cryptoeconomic models and be able to design tokens for different value abstractions.
Understand what blockchain is as a data structure and how the Bitcoin application utilizes blockchain and other existing systems to work together (P2P network, PoW algorithm, hashing functions).
Understand Peer to peer (P2P) computer networks, and list examples of existing P2P networks.
Centralization vs. Decentralization: Understand the difference between the centralized/decentralized applications of a given technology or system.
The history of money: Define what “sound money” is, list the chronological evolution of abstractions of value throughout human history, and summarize the history of how we got to where we are in the context of money.

Course Overview

What is a Hybrid program?

Students in our Hybrid program receive a truly unique, immersive experience coupling our in-person and online programs. Students will stay at our quintessential dormitories at Fordham University – Lincoln Center, while taking classes online from top notch staff recruited from across the globe. In this Hybrid model we will have spaces set up for students to go and attend their online class and join their classmates from around the world.

Excursions in New York

Students will join the Finance & Investing and/or Business & Entrepreneurship students on academic excursions. With something to see everywhere you turn, we have a packed docket of excursions: students will visit the famed landmarks of the Big Apple, stroll through its diverse neighborhoods and spend the day at Six Flags Great Adventures.

Chandler has several years of experience in the blockchain space, currently serving in a senior role at Astaria. He previously worked at New York-based UMA, where he was a senior growth strategist, after a lengthy period at Luno, a major blockchain technology company innovating in the security and storage of cryptocurrencies.

Hands-On Learning

This innovative college-level course in partnership with iXperience is perfectly designed to help high schoolers  gain real world knowledge and experience before committing to a Web Development path in college.  You will  get the opportunity to apply your newly gained skills to a hands-on project for a positive cause. While specific briefs vary from course to course, all of the projects are selected to perfectly complement the skills covered in class and enable students to make a real-world impact.

Courses take place from 9am - 12pm Pacific Time
2-4 hours of homework every week day.
Week 1: Focus on picking up new industry-relevant skills at a rapid pace.
Week 2: Collaborate on a social impact project that you can add to your resume and discuss in job interviews.
