Meet Your Instructor
Ekundayo Shittu is a Professor in GW’s Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering and directs the Systems Modeling Laboratory for Economic Decisions (SysMoLED), where he works with students and researchers to analyze firms’ technology investments using mathematical programming, transaction cost economics, and the resource-based view.
He co-edited Renewable Energy: International Perspectives on Sustainability, holds two patents improving patient safety through biomedical asset maintenance, and serves as Assistant Editor for Applied Energy. A KEEN Fellow, he has led four-week summer intensive spreadsheet modeling workshops for high school students to foster STEM interest. He holds a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ilorin, an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the American University in Cairo, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from UMass Amherst.
