Student Quote:
“I chose Summer Springboard this summer because I was interested in their engineering program and felt that I would learn a lot, get hands on experience, and make new friends.”
Highlights:
- SF Fun Day
- On Saturday, the students took a trip to SF, where they got a chance to see some of the famous spots below:
- Golden Gate Bridge

- The group of RAs represent current or recent grads from UCLA, U Mass Boston, Temple University, Rutgers, Dickinson College, Knox College, UC Riverside, and Wayne State University.
- Engineering Guest Speaker – Travis Kwee, Cisco
- Travis Kwee, Social and Environment Responsibility Specialist at Cisco, was a guest speaker in the engineering & innovation track.
- Travis is a Rice University graduate (Mechanical Engineering and Energy & Water Sustainability) interested in sustainable design through supply chain, green buildings, & renewable energy.
- Students asked tons of questions and Travis discussed the important role of sustainability and the environment in engineering.
