Andrea Paolini holds MA’s in Human Rights (University of London), and English and Creative Writing (University of Windsor). She is a PhD Candidate at the University of Pittsburgh, studying Writing and Human Rights. She has worked for 15 years in the realm of international relations, part of that time serving as a senior development officer for Indigenous programming with the Canadian government, and as an international volunteer through the World University Service of Canada in Ghana, Malawi, and most recently supporting the Vietnam Women’s Academy. She spent 2019-2020 conducting ethnographic and archival research in Malawi and Rwanda, while also serving as a gender policy advisor to the national secretariat for Malawi’s tea sector.
