Chris is a Lecturer in Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Poole College of Management at NC State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to joining NC State, Chris was Instructor in Entrepreneurship and Management at the Institute for Entrepreneurship at Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers, Florida. Chris joined FGCU from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. While at Kelley, Chris taught full time MBA and Undergraduate Courses in Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Business Planning, the Kelley Direct Online MBA Program, and Executive MBA courses. He also served as Director of the MBA Consulting Academy. Chris holds a B.S. Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and a Masters’ Degree in International Economics, International Relations and Security Studies from the Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of the Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC.
Chris also consults with early stage companies, primarily in the Life Science industry. His main client focus is Marketing Strategy, Business Planning, Fundraising and Commercial Development and Operations.
Prior to joining Kelley, Chris spent 20 years in the Medical Device Industry. He spent over 15 years at Ethicon Endo-Surgery, where he progressed through many positions of leadership in Operations, Business Development, Product Management, and Global Marketing and Product Development. Chris spent 5 years at several Venture-backed startup companies as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Chris is an active advisor and mentor to startup founders, current and former students and others. He is also an accredited Angel Investor and member of the Wolfpack Investment Network.
