Keisha Winston is a Professor of Neuroscience, Psychology and Biology. She began her educational venture at Northeastern University and completed her doctoral studies at the University of Connecticut where she studied and conducted research in both the Neuroscience and Pharmaceutical Sciences departments. She has been teaching at the University of New Haven for the past eleven years. Her past research has focused on the behavioral characterization of novel cannabinoid compounds, the medicinal benefits of novel cannabinoid compounds, behavioral tolerance, and the effects of ethanol on central nervous system function. She is involved in cannabinoid education within her community including participation in mental health education with the CARE program and assisting with the training of police professionals across the state.
