With more places transitioning to cash-free payment systems, we recommend that students bring a debit or credit card. Yes, students will have access to laundry on campus. Laundry facilities are located on the first floor of Madrona Hall. Washing and drying are free for all students. However, laundry detergent and dryer sheets are not provided, so students should pack these items if they plan on doing laundry on campus.

NYSID – Do I need to bring any additional spending money?

Everything in your program will be included, but we encourage students to bring a small amount of additional spending if they want to buy souvenirs on excursions. Additional spending money for snacks could also be a good idea, but feel free to bring snacks when you arrive and store them in your dorm room.
