Located within 2 and 3 blocks from campus, respectively, the Unit 1 and Unit 2 complexes consist of six buildings built around a large courtyard. These residence halls are typically inhabited by new and first-year UC Berkeley students when the university is in session. Living in these dorms will give your students a genuine preview of what their first year living in the residence halls will be like.
Within Units 1 and 2, there is a central building that houses the unit office, mail services, classrooms, and the Academic Services Center. The student dorms feature double- and triple-occupancy rooms equipped with extra-long twin beds, dressers, desks, mirrors, closets, mini-fridge, microwave and complimentary high speed wireless internet. Each floor is gender-segregated with a single large communal bathroom per floor.
