Before the start of the program, every family must complete the required Summer Springboard Medical Form, detailing any past illnesses, and any non-prescription and prescription medications that the student regularly takes.

In general, students are not directly supervised by Summer Springboard Program staff unless they are in a class, lectures, field trips, or excursions. Students independently manage themselves when they are not in class and enjoy the freedom to go anywhere within the pre-defined boundaries around the campus of the university.
