This course will introduce students to the innovative and impactful field of environmental engineering. Through hands-on experiments, team-based design challenges, and field-based learning, students will explore how engineers develop innovative solutions to today’s most pressing environmental issues, including: clean water, renewable energy, waste reduction, air quality, and sustainable cities.

Participants will not only learn foundational engineering principles but also apply them to a culminating project: designing and prototyping a sustainable solution for an environmental issue of their choice. Along the way, students will strengthen their critical thinking, collaboration while gaining a deeper understanding of how environmental engineers shape a more sustainable future.
