BLOG POST FOR JULY 25

This summer, Summer Springboard launched its first middle school session at Georgetown University, and it has been a fantastic experience for everyone involved. The students started with a fun scavenger hunt around the campus, getting to know their new environment and each other. In the Medicine program, they practiced sutures and earned their CPR certification, gaining essential life-saving skills. Our Business students visited local businesses and learned directly from the owners about running a successful enterprise. Those in the Trial Law track prepared diligently for a mock trial, diving deep into the legal process.

In the evenings, students enjoyed a variety of activities like lip sync battles and “Paint and Chill” sessions, which helped them relax and have fun. They also worked on creating banners, names, and chants for their mentor group competitions, fostering teamwork and school spirit. This mix of educational and recreational activities has made our first middle school session at Georgetown a memorable and enriching experience for all the students.
