Advanced Spanish Language Studies at Cal Poly SLO
Course Overview
This advanced course is designed for students who already have a strong foundation in Spanish and want to deepen their skills in real-world contexts. Through project-based learning, students will refine their professional, civic, and academic Spanish—developing persuasive communication, research-backed presentations, and ethical advocacy.
From exploring labor rights to water resource challenges, participants will tackle critical civic issues while enhancing fluency and cultural competence. With a strong emphasis on teamwork, leadership, and public speaking, students emerge more confident and capable in both language and purpose.
