About This Course

An artificial intelligence program for teens in Cambridge, MA

The demand for expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning is rapidly growing as these technologies continue to transform industries and improve both emerging and existing systems. In this exclusive hands-on AI course for rising juniors and seniors, students will explore cutting-edge technologies and learn how to responsibly leverage AI across various sectors. They will examine the ethical implications of AI, its potential for social good, and ultimately apply their knowledge to solve real-world challenges. This hands-on experience empowers students to see how AI is used not just as a tool for innovation but as a force for positive change.

Hosted by Æthos, a vibrant AI community at the Cambridge Innovation Center, the program immerses students in a professional environment where they work directly with startups at the forefront of AI innovation. Through interactive workshops, expert mentorship, and collaborative problem-solving, students will develop practical technical and leadership skills. They’ll gain valuable insight into AI-driven entrepreneurship and future career opportunities, while enhancing critical thinking and self-awareness. By the end of the program, students will have built a strong foundation in AI, expanded their professional network, and gained a competitive edge for college, internships, and careers in the evolving tech landscape.

Hands-on Learning

Students will gain hands-on experience in artificial intelligence by working directly with innovative startups at Æthos, an AI-focused community based in the Cambridge Innovation Center. Through daily fieldwork, interactive workshops, and real-world projects, students will explore the mechanics of AI, apply their knowledge to meaningful challenges, and develop practical solutions. This immersive experience empowers students to build technical skills, collaborate with industry experts, and explore AI through the lenses of entrepreneurship, ethics, and social impact.

Career Exploration

This course offers students a unique opportunity to explore career pathways in artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and emerging technology. By working alongside startups, engaging with top AI experts, and receiving mentorship from professionals at institutions like Harvard and MIT, students gain firsthand insight into what it’s like to work in the field. Meet Your Instructor

Mireia Torello is the CEO and co-founder of Aikreate, a global EdTech company transforming how students learn about Artificial Intelligence. With a PhD in Earth Sciences and an Executive MBA from IESE Business School, Mireia brings both academic excellence and real-world experience to the classroom. She has led Aikreate’s work with schools, universities, and governments. Recognized as a 2025 Leading Woman in AI at the ASU+GSV Summit and selected for MIT’s Venture Advancement Program, Mireia is passionate about helping students not only understand AI but use it safely, ethically, and creatively. Her programs are designed to give young learners the confidence and critical thinking skills they need in an AI-driven world.

 

Marc Oliveras is an experienced educator and curriculum designer with over 20 years in STEM education and a PhD in Economics. For the past 9 years, he has led AI Literacy programs that empower students to understand and use AI with confidence and responsibility. As co-founder of Aikreate, Marc developed KreatePrompt, the platform’s proprietary Large Language Model that gives students a hands-on, approachable way to explore AI—no coding needed. Marc has worked with thousands of students across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America, guiding them to think critically about technology and its role in their future. His approach blends technical learning with creativity, ethics, and problem-solving—ensuring students are not just tech-savvy, but thoughtful and prepared for the world ahead.
