Course Overview

This program provides middle school students interested in pursuing medicine with real hands-on experience where they can build a set of medical skills at an early age.

Imagine being able to set a splint, stop a bleed, and perform CPR as a middle school student! Students will learn medical techniques through age-appropriate simulations and guided lessons. In addition, they’ll work with small groups to research a patient’s history and symptoms, create a diagnosis based on findings, and develop a treatment plan

Session 2

With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and over 18 years of extensive experience in clinical practice, occupational health, emergency response, and healthcare education, I bring a dynamic and multidisciplinary skill set to the healthcare field. As a licensed Registered Nurse in both New York and the Philippines and a Registered Midwife in the Philippines, I hold an array of certifications including NREMT, California EMT, Phlebotomy Technician (NHA), Safety Officer 2, NAEMSE Instructor, and Offshore Safety Instructor. My professional experience includes roles such as Coordinating Nurse at International SOS, overseeing remote medical cases and conducting global medical evacuations; Corporate RN in a healthcare organization; and OIC-senior occupational health officer in a luxury resort and casino, where I led a 40-person team and implemented COVID-19 protocols. Additionally, I have worked in public safety and disaster risk reduction for the local government, managing safety, trauma, and emergency response training programs; compliance; and coordination of public events while serving as a representative to the Manila Peace and Order Council. I have several units in the Master of Arts in Nursing program and aim to continue pursuing them. I remain deeply committed to advancing healthcare standards and education through strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and multi-sector coordination.
