Hands-On Learning
Students will visit the University of San Francisco (USF) Nursing Simulation & Skills lab where they will get to use the Virtual Reality goggles and the simulation lab for assessments. Following that, they will transition to the skills lab for a Stop the Bleed workshop, where they will practice specialized techniques.
Additionally, they will be given a tour of their beautiful campus.
The students will also have an opportunity to meet with the admissions team for the Berkeley Extension Pre-Nursing Preparatory program where they will learn about opportunities to get an early start on nursing pre-requisite courses that they could begin right after high school or complete in a 2+2 model (2 years of courses through Berkeley Extension and 2 years in a 4-year university program.)
