EXPERIENCE CHILDREN’S HEALTHCARE THROUGH REAL-WORLD PEDIATRIC PRACTICE
This course is one week long, and you can extend your experience to as many as six weeks by adding additional one-week courses.

- Gain practical clinical skills such as taking vitals, recording patient histories, performing first aid, and suturing, plus earn child and infant CPR/AED certification.
- Work in teams to research, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for simulated pediatric patients.
- Practice physical exams, triage pediatric emergencies, and manage hospital medicine cases.
- Learn to address common diseases and injuries from infancy through adolescence.
- Train under the guidance of pediatric residents and curriculum advisors from top medical centers.
- Immerse in a specialty-focused medical curriculum designed specifically for aspiring pediatricians.

About This Course
Students acquire essential clinical skills such as taking vital signs, suturing, patient history interviews, infant and adolescent CPR/AED certification, and first aid. Working in collaborative teams, they practice physical exams, triage emergency and hospital cases, and develop diagnostic and treatment plans for young patients.
The program is taught by pediatric medical professionals and supported by experienced curriculum advisors, enabling students to learn from medical professionals at top institutions. Participants leave with a realistic view of pediatric care, clinical competency, and enhanced communication and critical thinking abilities.
TOPICS YOU'LL EXPLORE
Hands-on Learning
Students examine cancer cell samples under microscopes, participate in case study discussions, and work through treatment planning scenarios using real patient examples (anonymized).
Career Exploration
Meet with medical oncologists, radiation therapists, and cancer researchers to learn about various oncology career paths, medical school preparation, and opportunities in cancer research and patient care.
