About This Course

Using technology, what if you could design the city of the future? The artificial intelligence and computer science program, students explore how AI and computer programming can solve problems and transform everyday life. The highlight of the program is the Smart City Engineering challenge, where students work in teams to design and build interactive prototypes that address real-world issues such as traffic congestion, energy use and water conservation.

Throughout the week, students develop their coding and problem-solving skills while bringing their ideas to life. The experience concludes with a Smart city showcase, where teams present their projects and demonstrate how technology can help build a smarter, more sustainable future.

TOPICS YOU'LL EXPLORE

Hands-on Learning

Learn foundational coding skills and use them to create interactive programs.
Discover algorithims, computational thinking, and the principles behind software design
Explore what AI is, how it is used in everyday life, and how computer systems can use rules and logic to make decision, while also discussing privacy, fairness, and ethical considerations.

Students will engage directly with industry experts through visits to an advanced robotics facility, where they interact with working computer scientist and professionals that highlight real-world applications.
