Summer Springboard is officially underway on the campus of Georgetown University, and the excitement is real!

Students arrived on campus today, ready to launch into one week of learning, growth and connection in the heart of Washington, D.C. After settling into their dorms and meeting roommates and mentors, the group quickly started forming friendships and soaking in the historic charm of Georgetown’s iconic campus.

With the energy of the nation’s capital all around, the possibilities feel endless, and the buzz on campus is contagious.

What’s ahead? Students are gearing up for hands-on classes, engaging excursions around D.C., and True You sessions designed to spark self-discovery and inspire big thinking. Whether exploring campus landmarks, diving into thought-provoking discussions, or forging new connections, this group is ready to make the most of every moment.

The adventure has just begun, and we can’t wait to see what the next week brings!

  • During the boundary walk around Georgetown, students explored campus, got to know their new surroundings, and spent quality time bonding with their mentors and mentor groups.
  • Mentor groups participated in a fun True Colors personality activity to learn more about themselves and each other before brainstorming creative ideas for the upcoming mentor group competition.
  • During free time, students made the most of campus by relaxing on the lawn, playing volleyball, exploring the bookstore, and hanging out with new friends in the residence hall lounges.
  • The evening wrapped up with a creative door tag decorating activity followed by games that brought lots of laughter, friendly competition, and even more opportunities to build new friendships.

BLOG POST FOR JULY 10

That’s a wrap on a memorable Summer Springboard experience!

What a journey it’s been on campus. After one incredible week of hands-on academic courses, inspiring True You workshops and adventurous weekend excursions, our students have crossed the finish line of an unforgettable Summer Springboard program. They’ve explored new ideas, challenged themselves and made friendships that will last long after they leave campus.

Throughout the program, students gained valuable insight into their interests and aspirations, while reflecting on the kind of learners they want to become. From engaging classroom discussions to real-world experiences beyond campus, this summer has been all about growth, discovery and setting the foundation for what’s next.

We’re so proud of everything they’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see where their journeys take them. Here’s to new beginnings and exciting futures ahead!

  • Our students had an exciting week filled with hands-on learning, professional development, and inspiring visits that connected classroom lessons to real-world careers.
  • The Future Change Makers explored the work of the Washington Area Bicycle Association. The visit highlighted the importance of civic leadership and the impact individuals can make through public service and community initiatives.
  • Students in Emergency Medicine took a major step in their professional journey by earning their CPR certifications. Through practical, hands-on training, they developed life-saving skills and gained the confidence to respond effectively during emergencies. This certification marks an important milestone as they continue preparing for careers in healthcare.
  • Our Business and Entrepreneurship students visited the Go-Go Museum, where they discovered how Washington, D.C.’s iconic musical genre has shaped culture, inspired entrepreneurship, and built community. The experience demonstrated how creativity, culture, and business intersect to preserve history while creating economic opportunities.
  • Lastly, students in Trial Law had the incredible opportunity to visit the Supreme Court of the United States. Walking through one of the nation’s most significant judicial institutions allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the legal system, constitutional law, and the role the Supreme Court plays in shaping the country.
  • These experiences reflect our commitment to providing meaningful opportunities beyond the classroom. By engaging with professionals, earning industry-recognized certifications, and exploring influential institutions, our students continue to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become tomorrow’s leaders.
