The last session of Summer Springboard at Berkeley is off to a fast start. Students began with a tour of the iconic Berkeley campus, getting a feel for its rich history. Classes are in full motion, with students diving into their chosen subjects, and excursions have already started. We’re excited to see what the rest of the summer will bring!
BLOG POST FOR JULY 30
The past week at Berkeley has been incredibly exciting with a lot going on! Students embarked on their first class excursions, stepping outside the classroom to engage in fun and educational activities. One highlight was hopping on the SF Ferry for a relaxing ride from Oakland to San Francisco as part of their Friday afternoon activities. The adventure continued on Saturday with students making stops around San Francisco, including a visit to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. On Sunday, the fun ramped up with a thrilling trip to Great America theme park, making it a weekend to remember.
Looking ahead, this week’s highlights include a tour of Stanford University, offering a glimpse into another prestigious campus. Students will also participate in more class excursions, further enriching their learning experience. The session will culminate with a memorable closing ceremony and a lively soiree, celebrating the fantastic time we’ve had together. It’s been a whirlwind of excitement, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds!
BLOG POST FOR AUGUST 2
In the blink of an eye, we’ve concluded our final session at Berkeley this year, and once again, it was an amazing group of students. From day one, the energy was high, and the camaraderie was evident from the start. The bonds formed within this group were truly special, making every moment memorable. One of the highlights of the second week was the tour of the iconic Stanford campus, which was a fantastic experience for the students. Additionally, they participated in class excursions that provided the opportunity to learn outside the classroom in a fun and engaging manner. The closing ceremony and soiree were bittersweet, but they were a wonderful way to end the session. We’re excited to see how these students grow in their future endeavors and hope to welcome them back to Summer Springboard next year.
