Summer Springboard has landed at Yale, and the energy is off the charts!

Students arrived on campus, ready to dive into an incredible week filled with discovery, learning and new friendships in the heart of New Haven. After settling into their dorms and meeting roommates and mentors, the excitement was contagious as everyone started connecting over shared goals and the inspiring atmosphere of this world-renowned university campus. With Yale’s historic architecture and vibrant campus life as a backdrop, it’s clear this experience is going to be unforgettable.

What’s next? From hands-on classes and creative challenges to eye-opening excursions, students are about to embark on a journey of growth and exploration. 

Whether debating big ideas in the classroom or discovering what makes them tick, this group is ready to seize every opportunity, and we’re just getting started. The next week is going to fly by, and we can’t wait to watch every moment unfold!

Here are some highlights so far from this week:

• Students from around the world arrived to Yale’s beautiful campus! They had orientation and did a boundary walk around the area.
• Everyone settled in and started making new friends.
• Students started their classes, met their instructors, and jumped right in to learning!
• Some classes had guest speakers to share more insight into what they can learn from the course they chose to study.
• Classes started taking their excursions around the area: Emergency Med took a tour of Yale Hospital, Psych & Neuro conducted a sheep brain dissection, Trial Law visited the New Haven Courthouse, Business students went to the UNH MakerSpace.
• Students taking multiple SSB sessions in a row at Yale went on a ziplining and ropes course trip!

Students at Yale are almost finished with their memorable Summer Springboard experience!

What a journey it’s been on campus. After an incredible week of hands-on academic courses, inspiring afternoon activities and adventurous weekend excursions, our students are about to cross the finish line of an unforgettable Summer Springboard program. They’ve explored new ideas, challenged themselves and made friendships that will last long after they leave campus.

Throughout the program, students gained valuable insight into their college major interests and career aspirations, while reflecting on the kind of learners and future professionals they want to become. From engaging classroom discussions to real-world experiences beyond campus, this summer has been all about growth, discovery and setting the foundation for what’s next.

We’re so proud of everything they’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see where their journeys take them. Here’s to new beginnings and exciting futures ahead!
