About Middle School Courses
Our middle school one-week programs—located at Berkeley, Georgetown, NYU, UC San Diego, University of Washington, and Vanderbilt University—are designed specifically for younger learners. By combining academic courses and interactive labs with high-energy recreational activities, we provide a summer experience that is as enriching as it is fun.
To ensure a seamless start to the week, Summer Springboard offers an optional airport transfer service. For an additional fee, our staff will meet students directly at the airport and escort them to their residence hall, allowing families the peace of mind that their student is supported from the moment they land.
A Tailored Experience
Please note that these programs operate independently from our high school sessions. To best support our middle schoolers, we provide:
Dedicated Staff: Teams trained specifically for this age group.
Separate Accommodations: Housing and schedules distinct from older students.
Structured Environment: Increased supervision and age-appropriate activities.

Students will use the design process to build and test projects with everyday materials, developing teamwork, problem-solving skills, and the confidence to see themselves as future innovators.

This engineering program introduces middle school students to engineering and design through creative, real-world problem-solving. This program gives high school students the chance to explore architecture firsthand, blending design principles, sustainability, and hands-on sketching projects.

Future Changemakers
Course
Are you interested in how can young people help solve global challenges? The Future Changemakers program invites middle school students to explore the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals through hands-on simulations, teamwork, and problem-solving. Students design a new post-2030 SDG and present their ideas at a final Global Summit, gaining skills to become informed, confident changemakers.
