Blog post for june 16

Summer Springboard has officially begun at Georgia Tech!

Students arrived on campus, settling into dorms and meeting their roommates and mentors as they prepare for two weeks of hands-on learning and new experiences. With the campus buzzing quietly in the background, students are already making connections and getting comfortable in this dynamic environment. The blend of focus and excitement is setting the tone for a great session ahead.

Over the next two weeks, students will engage in interactive courses, participate in local excursions, and take part in True You sessions designed to encourage self-reflection and growth.

Whether collaborating in classrooms or exploring what’s around Atlanta, this group is ready to learn, grow and make the most of their time here on the campus of Georgia Tech. We’re looking forward to seeing how the program unfolds!

Here are some highlights from the start of the program:

  • Very energetic check in day
  • Mentor groups are having so much fun getting to know each other
  • Club fair was so successful! We have SSB Letterbox (movie club), The Game Night Collective (game club), Outdoor Allstars (athletic club), Y.A.S.S (yearbook, art, sioree superstars)
  • Students really like the dining hall food
  • All are excited for the upcoming excursions

  • The students loved their Wednesday academic excursions! Emergency Medicine got to visit the Grady EMS Headquarters, Business visited the Accenture Innovation Hub, and Astrophysics got to tour the Georgia Tech Astro Departments and Labs!
  • Evening clubs have been super fun! The Game Night Collective always has 4 different games going on, ranging from Chess, Uno, Among Us, and a murder mystery. Our Art/Yearbook club is already planning our end of program soiree. And despite the rainy evening, our athletics club has been enjoying some indoor games and World Cup watch parties in the lounge!
