Medicine & Healthcare
Dr. Enrique Valdespino, MD, MSc
Most recently, Dr. Valdespino has been recruited by Doctors Without Borders to provide medical care where it is most needed, and is awaiting mission placement. Dr. Valdespino graduated from Harvard Medical School with a Master of Medical Sciences in Global Health Delivery. Prior to Harvard, Enrique worked as a physician with Compañeros en Salud México (CES), a sister organization of Partners in Health, after he completed his medical training. At CES he worked as a Regional Supervisor to support primary care physicians in charge of rural clinics in non-accessible areas. In this role, he addressed challenges in regards to medical care delivery, clinic management, and community relations.
Politics & Public Policy
Dr. Christopher Faraone, Ed.D
Christopher Faraone has over 13 years of experience in the field of education. Currently, he is a history teacher in New Jersey where he successfully conceptualized, authored and presented curriculum for new AP Comparative Politics class. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Faraone is the head coach for cross country and track, managing 3-5 assistant coaches and 100 student athletes. He holds an Ed.D as well as a Master’s in both Political Science and Educational Leadership.
Errol Patterson, J.D., B.S.M.E.
Errol Patterson is a trial lawyer with over 30 years of litigation experience in federal and state courts. Before joining the faculty at Georgetown Law, Professor Patterson was a Partner at Newman & Holtzinger, P.C. and later Of Counsel at Steptoe and Johnson, LLP. He has successfully prosecuted and defended a variety of civil cases, including complex contract, product liability, insurance coverage and mass tort disputes and claims. Over the course of his career, he has advised and provided legal and strategic counsel to boards of directors, executive, senior management and in-house counsel of Fortune 50 domestic corporations and large non-profits. He holds an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and worked for several years as an engineer for Monsanto Company before law school. Professor Patterson obtained his JD degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
Laura B. Rapoport, MPH
Laura is a recent graduate of Harvard University T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She has a unique multidisciplinary background in public health, anthropology, and innovation. As a consultant with Save The Children, she designed and conducted a root cause analysis using the World Bank Approach for Health System Reform on the mental health challenges facing stranded refugee and migrant children in Athens, Greece. In addition, she has conducted research identifying barriers to HIV treatment adherence for preventing mother-to child transmission (PMTCT) for pregnant and postpartum women in Africa.
Business & Entrepreneurship
Darren Gibson, Ed.D, MSc
Darren has over eighteen years of experience in various supervisory, management, financial, and organizational development capacities. Currently, he’s an independent consultant in addition to being an adjunct faculty member at Trinity Washington University and Northern Virginia Community College where he teaches business management curriculum to college and graduate level students. He holds a doctorate degree in Organizational Management and Leadership, and also has a Master of Science in Business Management.
