Course Overview
Pre-college ll introduces a dynamic shift towards the hospitality sector, incorporating the designs of hotels and restaurants.
Throughout the two-weeks, participants will explore the world of hospitality spaces by visiting some of the city’s premier campus hotels, as well as exploring various restaurants and cafes. The experiential learning extends beyond observation as students are encouraged to select a client and craft a designated space tailored to their needs, fostering a deeper understanding of design application.
Earn College Credits: Seize the chance to earn one college credit applicable towards an undergraduate degree at NYSID or for inclusion in your future college applications.
Classes will be at the New York School of Interior Design, and students will stay in residential housing located in the heart of Manhattan.

Topics you'll explore
Course Structure
There are nine 3-hour class sessions over the two-week course. During week one, students have class from 9am-12pm, Monday - Friday. During week two students have class from 9am-12pm Monday through Thursday. Wednesday afternoons are dedicated to additional academic time (excursions, speakers).
Real World Insight
Visit showrooms, commercial design firms, and various design centers. Engage in hands-on work within a studio setting, and have the opportunity to hear insights from professionals in the field.
