Students will learn firsthand from business veterans about starting and running a business. Topics will cover marketing, finance, operations, and sales. Over the course of the program, they will develop a plan for a new venture and pitch their idea to real world investors. Along the way, meet with leaders from different areas of business and finance.
Business & Entrepreneurship Instructors
Dr. Tracy Coleman, MS, DM and Yolanda Brandon, MBA
Dr. Coleman has worked in the fields of business, entrepreneurship, leadership, and management for over 30 years. Her career as a manager in both the medical and public utility fields has garnered her the expertise of understanding how others lead and work in professional environments. She now enjoys teaching business to the next generation of leaders. She holds a doctorate degree is in Management of Organizational Leadership, and also has a Master in Leadership and Management.
Yolanda is a senior level finance professional with over 20 years of experience. As a CFO she has implemented processes and financial controls to ensure solid financial standing for major corporations and not-for-profit organizations. In addition, she teaches Finance and Business at the College of Alameda. She holds a BS in Accounting from Saint Mary's College and a MBA from Golden Gate University.
